ACN in Action: Burkina Faso Appeal

In the midst of hardship, hope shines through the lives of those who serve.

40% of Burkina Faso’s territory is controlled by extremists, and over one million Christians are forcibly displaced. Hundreds of churches have been forced to close their doors  – but the faithful’s strength in God helps them through it all.

The story of catechist Mathieu, featured in the above video, embodies the faith, courage and compassion of Christians  in Burkina Faso in the face of extreme persecution. Mathieu’s unshakable trust in God sustained him through four months of captivity and forced indoctrination, as he never ceased praying and ultimately returned to serve his community.

Your generous support for our Burkina Faso appeal could help bring emergency aid and psychological help for Christian families displaced by violence. You can also contribute to the training of priests, Sisters and catechists who work tirelessly to share Christ’s merciful love in their communities.

Please join us in giving hope to the faithful in Burkina Faso.

“When migrants arrive in Nouakchott, they find themselves homeless, jobless, and destitute.”

ACN #TEAMRED

CREATIVITY = CHANGE

We have had benefactors over the years that have got very hands-on in their support for #RedWednesday. This painting of a church in Knock, Ireland by artist and ACN supporter Yvonne Hartnett on #RedWednesday is a beautiful example of the creativity and craftwork of #TeamRed to honour the Martyrs past and present and yet to come.

If you have a creative skill that you want to share with us to support #TeamRed let us know and we would love to tell your story. Handmade items to sell or auction them is a great way to not only raise money to support #RedWednesday, but also raise awareness.
